Dots: The green dot indicates the heading under which the data is being sorted. All other headings are grey dots.
Arrows: These are for bi-directional sorting, i.e. either ascending order or descending order. Grey arrows: The user isn't sorting by that heading. Green arrow on top: Descending sort by this heading. Green arrow on bottom: Ascending sort by this heading. When the user clicks on a heading for the first time, assume ascending sort by default; toggle between ascending and descending by clicking on the 'active' heading.
